Z. Arlene Labrum

Zelpha Arlene Labrum, 74, of Shelley passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born September 21, 1937 in Ririe, Idaho to Gordon Lee Miller and Zelpha Esther Scott Miller. She grew up and attended schools in Ririe. She graduated from Ririe High School. She married Robert Lee Anderson on May 17, 1956 in Idaho Falls. They later divorced. On November 7, 1971, she married Ronald William Labrum in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on March 24, 2000. Ronald died July 11, 2004. Arlene lived in Ririe, Arkansas, Rigby, Idaho Falls, and in Shelley the past 19 years. She raised her family and worked at Basic American Foods, Roger Bros, Walkers, Ucon Spudhouse, Martin Bros., and Circle Valley Produce. Arlene loved to do crafts, crocheting, quilting, outdoor activities. She especially loved her grandchildren. She is survived by: Daughter, Frances (Larry) Norman of Green Forest AR; Daughter, Barbara (Dale) Blair of Green Forest, AR; Son, Robert Anderson of Alpena; AR Daughter, Anita Anderson of Spokane, WA; Daughter, Leona (James) Hawthorne of Stonewall, LA; Son, Bill Anderson of Idaho Falls, ID; Son, Gary Anderson of Spokane, WA; Daughter, Thelma Lou “Jo” Cloud of Nixa, MO; Son, John F. (Hollie) Anderson of Shelley, ID; Daughter, Ronda (Timo) Cody of Blackfoot, ID Brother, Gordon Vernon (Karen) Miller of Preston Sister, Edith DeSalvo of Ward, AR; Son, Ron Delane (Opal) Labrum of Burley, ID; Son, Myron Labrum of Ucon, ID; 32 grandchildren; and 35 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Robert Lee Anderson and Ronald W. Labrum and a daughter Diane Shrives. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the Shelley Mountain View Ward (675 South Milton Avenue) with Bishop Marvin Harker officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Ucon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
