WINONA YOUNG
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Winona Young, 78, of Idaho Falls, died January 16, 2010, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls of natural causes.
Winona was born February 28, 1931, in Shelley, Idaho, to Charles Ray Young and Christina Gilbert Young. She grew up in Shelley and has also lived in Nampa, Victor, Pocatello, and Idaho Falls. For the past five years, she lived at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls. She attended various learning centers and the Joshua Smith Foundation.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended the Special Needs Adult Primary. Winona enjoyed embroidery, puzzles, bowling, playing bingo, and crafts.
Survivors include:
Brother: Melvin H. Young of Kennewick, WA
15 Nieces and Nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews, and numerous caretakers and residents from Life Care Center who were a part of her family. They were very much loved and appreciated.
Winona was preceded in death by her parents and ten siblings, Mary Lamb, Lorenzo Young, Ellen Lamb, Eldon Young, Charles Young, Lewis Young, Julia Young, Thora Young, Arch Young, and Anna Young.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2010, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls, 2725 East 17th Street, with Bishop Scott Noble of the Ammon LDS 16th Ward officiating.
