Click Here To View Memorial Video OBITUARY INFORMATION Wilma Marsette Wilma May Marsette “G-Unit”, 80, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 19, 2013, at Teton Post Acute Rehabilitation. Wilma was born April 15, 1933, in Rupert, Idaho, to Herman Willis Benson and Amelia May Simpson Benson. She grew up in Rupert and attended Purjing Grade School and Rupert Junior High School. Wilma married John P. Sparks. Together they had a daughter, Nettie. They were later divorced. She married Jimmy Hurst. They had six children, Jimmy, Charles, Ruth, Robert, Mary, and Oran. They were later divorced. Wilma later married Edward Francis Marsette on May 29, 1971, at Reno, Nevada. To this union was born one daughter, Veronica. They received a special gift of a second daughter, Victoria. Edward’s children from a previous marriage, Velisa, Edward Jr., and Gregory, joined their family. Wilma and Edward made their home in Idaho Falls, where Wilma worked in various potato warehouses. She retired from Pillsbury. Edward passed away October 9, 1994. Wilma loved bingo, playing slot machines, watching “The Price is Right”, and “Let’s Make a Deal.” Wilma is survived by daughter, Ruth Ann (Edmund Carter) Hurst; son, Robert (Sheila) Hurst; daughter, Mary Joyce (Armando Medrano) Hurst; son, Oran Marshal (Jenny) Hurst; daughter, Veronica May (Mike) McCabe of Rigby, ID; daughter, Victoria (Mario) Estrada; step-daughter, Velisa Marsette; step-son, Edward David (Annette) Morsette. 28 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Wilma had an especially close bond with her grandsons Angel and Nano. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Nettie May Sparks, son, Jimmy Hurst Jr., son, Charles Jose Hurst, and step-son, Gregory Marsette. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2013, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
