JOYCE BURRELL
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Wilma Joyce Jones Burrell, 77, of Ammon, passed away December 7, 2008, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of complications of pneumonia.
She was born October 9, 1931, in Spokane, Washington, to Thomas Ralph Jones and Laura Elizabeth Chilton Jones. She grew up in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho and attended schools throughout the area, graduating from Clarkston High School.
She married Herman James Mueller in 1949 and they were later divorced. She married Raymond Edwin Borland in 1959 and they were later divorced. She married Ray Burrell in 1972 and they were later divorced. She lived in Anchorage, Alaska, for 39 years, Seattle, Washington, for ten years, and Lewiston, Idaho, for 25 years. She was a homemaker and mother and also worked as clerk for the U. S. Postal Service, from which she retired. She moved to Ammon last fall.
Joyce was a volunteer worker with the Blood Bank of Alaska and encouraged blood donations when supplies ran low. She was an avid reader of novels and loved cats, especially her favorite cat, Harley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Thomas J. Borland, and 4 grandchildren, Kerri Stevens, Wesley Borland, Rachel Borland, and Siggi Miolla.
Memorial Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2008, at the Ammon LDS 14th Ward, 4459 John Adams Parkway, with Bishop Alex R. Hoffman officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from Noon to 12:45 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to a local humane society.
