WILLIAM WREDE IDAHO FALLS, ID -- William Lee Wrede, 88, passed away April 18, 2010 at Beacon Hill Safe Haven Assisted Living Center in Pocatello. He was born February 2, 1922 in Goshen County, Wyoming to Louis Fred Wrede and Mary Earl Weil Wrede. The family moved to Morrill, Nebraska and later to Mitchell where he attended grade school. He graduated from West High School in Denver. He joined the Army and served in WWII as a sergeant. During the Manhattan Project, he joined the new unit developing the A-bomb and went overseas with the first order of the 509 bomb group. In 1944 he married Zenna L. Hess at Goshen, Idaho. They settled in Shelley where he worked for R.T. French Company. His wife died in 1982. He then married Mallnee Pherson in 1985, she passed away in 2002 while living in Idaho Falls. Most of his life he worked in construction as a renaissance man. William was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fixing things, working with his rentals and spending time with his family. He is survived by Son: Laurie (Sharon) Lee Wrede of Georgia; Daughter, Sharon L Edmonds of Arizona; Daughter, Barbara Lee Wrede of Arizona; Daughter, Lisa Patsy Lee (Dave) Gunn of Arizona; Daughter, Diana Lee Miner of Idaho; Daughter, Teresa Lee Wrede of Arizona; Daughter, April Lee (Frank) Olney of Colorado 20 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, both of his wives, Zenna and Mallnee, his sisters, Martha and Shirley and brothers Neil and Bernard. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Idaho Falls LDS Sandcreek 1st Ward, 885 South Boulevard, with Bishop Hal Peterson officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Goshen Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. Veteran’s rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veteran’s Memorial Team and the Idaho Honor Guard. ---------------------------------------------------- Condolences received online:
