William “Billy” Joseph Wilding was born April 1,1979, to Terrie Sue Savage and when he was 3 years old he was adopted by his loving father Michael Joseph Wilding. He was the first of their two boys, later came Michael. Billy relished in being a big brother to Michael and always struggled after losing him in 2004 at the young age of 20.
Billy was raised in the Milo area and attended school at Ucon Elementary, where he made so many lifelong friends. He also attended Rocky Mountain Middle School and Bonneville High School. “Little Billy” was always known to be a loyal friend, so full of life, and always brought so much laughter and joy whenever he was around.
Billy had a true passion for football, he was a die hard fan of the New York Jets, which would later be what connected him to the love of his life, Jessica Blair. In 2004, Jessica lovingly informed him that “the New York Jets suck” and from that moment on he was love struck with the girl that had as much passion for football as he did. Jessica and Billy pursued a relationship and he fell in love with her and her son Terrence Hansen. They were married on February 18, 2005. Later that year their first son, Steven, was born on September 10. Two years later they were blessed with another baby on March 10, 2007, they named him Carson. Billy was a devoted father and he enjoyed watching his boys play sports, video games, and teaching them how to do all the fun things like riding a banshee and dirt bikes. There wasn’t a single football game that you couldn’t see Billy on the sidelines yelling at the ref and cheering on his boys team! His boys were his pride and joy.
Billy will be remembered as the type of man that was always eager to learn and try new things. If he asked you a question, he genuinely cared about the answer that was given and truly took the time to listen. He would let you know if he disagreed with your point of view and he always tried hard not to judge. He was not a man free from troubles, but he tried to keep his head up and put on a brave face.
Billy is survived by his wife, Jessica; step-son Terrence; his two sons, Steven and Carson; and many loving cousins, family, and lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Father, and Brother.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor on Saturday, August 14, 2021, from 3-7 p.m. at 12282 N 85th E., Idaho Falls, ID 83401.
