William "Coco" Sturgeon, Jr

William "Coco" Sturgeon, Jr., 60, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 22, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Coco was born December 13, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas, to William Sturgeon, Sr., and Guadalupe Aguirre Sturgeon. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. On May 15, 1976, he married Julia Cooper in Blackfoot, Idaho. To this union were born three children, William, Christopher, and Kenneth. Coco and Julia were later divorced. Coco made his home in Idaho Falls and worked as a truck driver. He loved riding his Harley Davidson with all of his friends. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Coco is survived by his mother, Guadalupe Aguirre Sturgeon of Idaho Falls; son, William (Staci) Sturgeon, III, of Gilbert, AZ; son, Christopher (Brooke) Sturgeon of Etna, WY; son, Kenneth Sturgeon of Idaho Falls; sister, Ermila Sturgeon of Idaho Falls; sister, Rosa (Vince) Sanchez of Idaho Falls; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, William Sturgeon, Sr. A Gathering will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue.
