William "Bill" Simpson

William "Bill" Isaac Simpson, 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 15, 2017, at his home.

Bill was born June 4, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Abraham Simpson and Louis M. Colby Simpson. He grew up in Idaho Falls, and attended OE Bell Junior High and Idaho Falls High School.

In 1966, he married Julia Gomez Gutierrez in Los Angeles, California. To this union were born six children. Bill and Julia were later divorced. Bill made his home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he worked as a cement mason for 24 years.

Bill enjoyed fishing, camping, attending yard sales and shooting guns. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

Bill is survived by son, Jose (Lucinda S.) Simpson of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Michelle Simpson of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Brady Simpson of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Adolfo Cortez of Caldwell, ID; daughter, Jaquoia Simpson of Sacramento, CA; 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Willie Simpson, and a brother, Jay Simpson.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Goshen Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road.
