My last good visit with Doug was down to St. George when we were down there for Roy's sister's funeral. We had a good visit then and I am glad for that. Know that I am thinking of all of you. Love to all, Maureen Gordon Woolley ggwoo@silverstar.com Linda, Laurel, and Doug, so sorry to hear about your dad. He was a great guy and will be missed. Our family wants to express our love and appreciation for the years of friendship. Gordon Woolley Jay Gubler jaygubler222@aol.com Your father Doug was a dear friend of mine, when we lived in Soda Springs, Idaho. We both worked for Monsanto Chemical Co. I was their machinist, and he was a millwright. We took many fishing and elk hunting trips together, along with Hough Loveland, who was a millwright along with your father. He introduced me to fishing the Blackfoot (Dirtyfoot) River. I caught my first 5 lb. trout while fishing that river for the first time with your dad. In fact, I hooked it almost between his legs. He netted it for me while he was wading as he fished. He was wearing those newfangled waders, while I only wore hip boots. Hough and I helped your dad haul out a big six point elk that he shot on opening day of elk season. Neither Hough or I got one that day. After working with your dad and Hough for about three years, they moved to Blackfoot to work at the atomic energy plant, and they were really missed. I worked at Monsanto for another year or so, and I left to go to work for The Boeing Co. in Seattle. After obtaining a little more education, I became an Engineer and worked for Thiokol Chemical Co. I retired from there in Jan. of 1993. I lived in Ogden for some 26 years, and then moved to Smithfield, Utah, where the wife and I still live. I see by the obituary that he has a daughter - Lindy Kimball - presently living in Smithfield. I look forward to meeting her. A dear friend of Doug and Edith, Jay & Evelyn Gubler Hal and Connie Merritt halmerritt@onewest.net Dear Linda, Laurel, Doug, and family, We were sorry to hear about your dad. We wanted to come to the viewing tonight, but the weather has been too scary. We wanted you to know how much your parents mean to us. They have always been so good to us. They are great people. Connie will always remember Bishop Hadley as being her very first bishop. We know that they are in a better place and we pray that your hearts will be filled with peace. L ove, Hal and Connie Merritt Royce & Cherice Pickett rxpick2@qwest.com Bro. Hadley, We loved visiting with you every Sunday at church. You always wore a great smile. You will be missed. Heaven is lucky to have another Doug. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Love, Cherice and Royce Pickett. Ila & DeVon Kofoed dev1718@msn.com Dear Hadley Family, Ila and I were saddened to read of your father's passing. We have always enjoyed the timed that we have been with them. I, DeVon, enjoyed the time that I worked with Doug. He always had a smile, a good word for everyone and always seemed to know how to handle the work that needed to be done. He was the same at play as he was at work. I really admired the way that he could be with the great and the small and be at ease. He was truly a good man. May love and peace be with you as you remember the time that you had with your Mother and Father. Our thought are with at this time. We had planned to be with you at this time, but I chickened out and didn't want to drive on the ice. Our thoughts are with you and wishing you the best. Ila & DeVon Kofoed Greg Hendricks Dear Hadley Family, Doug was a regular at the McDonald’s where I work. He always had a smile on his face when he came in.
