Click Here To View Memorial Video William Dean Humphries, 87 of Idaho Falls passed away Friday, January 31, 2014, at his home, following a courageous battle with cancer. Dean was born November 16, 1926 in Woodville, Idaho, to William Chesley Humphries and Marilda Louise Chaffin Humphries. He attended Sheet Metal Welding and Drafting Technical Training. On August 23, 1945 he married Betty Ann Davies in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. From this union they were blessed with five children, William, Kathy, Sheryl, Daron and Scott. Dean worked as a welder fabricator at Miskin Scrapers, Forbes, Bingham Mechanical, and Markhams, and he later started his excavation business in 1988. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various capacities in the bishopric. He served a one and a half year mission for the church in Birmingham, Alabama and as well as other service missions. He had several interests including horses and welding. He loved all aspects of music, especially singing and dancing with his beloved wife. Dean is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Betty, Son, William Chris Humphries of Moore Park, CA Daughter, Kathy Ann (Brad) Nield Daughter, Sheryl Kay (Richard) Lidyard Son, Daron D. (Sandi) Humphries and Son, Scott D. Humphries all of Idaho Falls, ID Brother, Len C. Humphries of Rexburg, ID Brother, Jess Humphries of Salt Lake City, UT Brother, Jerry Humphries of Idaho Falls, ID Brother, Ron Humphries of Boise, ID Sister, Bertha Baxter of Rigby, ID Sister, Leah Hill of Idaho Falls, ID Sister, Marvel Yates of Hood River, OR 24 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Deloy Humphries, and two sisters; Ruby Montague and Ruth Ciesielski. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at the Coltman LDS 1st Ward, 1244 N. 5th East, with Bishop Blair Sautter officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Grant Central Cemetery.

The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon) and Wednesday 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior at the church. Burial in Grant Central Cemetery.
