WILLIAM P. GRAY, JR.
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- William Porter Gray, Jr., 83, of Idaho Falls, died August 25, 2005, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born December 3, 1921, at Idaho Falls to William Porter Gray, Sr. and Eva Catherine Hayball Gray. He grew up in the area and attended Idaho Falls High School. Following graduation, he spent one year at University of Idaho. He served as a Private First Class in the U. S. Marine Corp during World War II.
On August 16, 1944, he married Alberta Betsy Mawson in Idaho Falls. He worked for three years with the Police Department. From 1953 until 1984, he owned his own business, Gray Landscaping Inc., and helped beautify roads, trails, highways and campgrounds. He was a member of the Bonneville County Veterans Team, Masons, Shriners and a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dennis D. Gray; two sisters, Eva and Julia; and a brother, Jack.
Memorial Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2005, at First Presbyterian Church (325 Elm) with Reverend Dr. Dennis Falasco officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
