WILLIAM GUSTAV FISCHER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- William Gustav Fischer, 83, of Idaho Falls, died August 16 2005, at his home.
He was born March 19, 1922, in Creston, Iowa, to George Gustav Fischer and Helen Lucille Thompson Fischer. He grew up and attended schools in Denver, Colorado, and Jarbridge, Nevada. He served in the U. S. Navy as a Signalman during World War II.
After his discharge from the Navy, he married and moved to Southern California, where he enjoyed a career as a public accountant while raising his family. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially golf, fishing, cross-country skiing, camping and gardening.
In 1994, he moved to Rigby, Idaho, with his wife of 20 years, Roswitha, where they enjoyed the four seasons and the beauty of living in the Northwest. Yellowstone National Park, the Grand Tetons, Jenny Lake and the Jackson Hole area, were some of their favorite areas to explore.

Grandchildren: Ed Matuskey, Jeff Matuskey, Erin Cole, Erik and Bryan Fischer;
Great Grandchildren: Kevin, Erik and Andrew Matuskey
Stepdaughter: Anita Morris, Lincoln, NE
Stepson: Gary Morris, Stockton, CA
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2005, at the Idaho Falls First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rollandet and Sunnyside Road, with Pastor Larry Cudmore officiating. Services are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
