William "Bill" Carter - 05/05/2003 William "Bill" Carter - 05/05/2003 WILLIAM "BILL" C. CARTER IDAHO FALLS, ID - William “Bill” Clyde Carter, 81, of Idaho Falls, died May 4, 2003, at his home. He was born June 10, 1921, in Ammon, to James Andrew Carter and Maude Gardiner Carter. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Ammon High School. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II in Japan and Europe. On March 2, 1943, he married Helen Miller. They were later divorced. He married Etta “Lee” Cover on February 6, 1974. He worked as a mechanic for Roger Bros. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed working with his hands, building, hunting and fishing. He had the mind of an inventor, was very social, and loved younger people. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 8, 2003, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge), with Jack A. Wood, Jr. officiating. The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home. Military Rites will be by the Bonneville County Veterans Team. Burial will be at a later date in the Targhee Cemetery at Island Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. If you would like to offer your condolences fill in the form below.
