William Caldwell

William Richard “Rick” Caldwell, 85, of Idaho Falls, passed away on August 18, 2014, at his home. He was born November 26, 1928, in Sharon, Idaho to William Staford Caldwell and Delta May Orr Caldwell. He grew up in the area and attended schools in Soda Springs, Idaho. He served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II. On March 31, 1950, he married Ilene H. Archibald in Reno, Nevada. He served in the military for several years receiving training as a Surgical Technician and was also a farmer. He later worked at Walmart as a people greeter. Rick was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, music, and watching baseball and football games on Sunday. He especially loved his family and spending time with them. Survivors are: Wife: Ilene Caldwell, Idaho Falls ID Daughter: Vickie Coy, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Paula (Ron) Baker, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Debra (William) Fitch, Rigby, ID Daughter: Lacindia Miller, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Benita (Mike) McMinn, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Stewart Caldwell, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Shannon Fullmer, Boise, ID Daughter: Jessica (Corbett) Knapp, Rigby, ID Sister: NuRae Thompson Sister: Nellie Linden Sister: Tanya Bryant 13 Grandchildren, 35 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, Eugene Caldwell, Ronald Caldwell, Lavor Caldwell and Larrell Caldwell; a sister, Susie Caldwell; and a son-in-law, Dean Coy. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2014, at Rigby-Pioneer Cemetery with Steve Young officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) prior to leaving for the cemetery.
