WILLARD ELDREDGE
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Willard June Eldredge, 82, of Idaho Falls, died January 31, 2006, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 25, 1923, at Carey, Idaho, to Forest Howard Eldredge and Vivian Elizabeth Cross Eldredge. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Carey High School. He served as a Sergeant in the U. S. Army during World War II and received training as a medic. At the end of the war, he was stationed in Brigham City, Utah, as a military policeman.
On May 9, 1946, he married Edith Norene Andreasen in Brigham City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She died in October of 2000.
He moved with his wife to Idaho Falls in 1954, and in 1965, they moved to Coltman. He worked as a security inspector for the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) at the site. He was elected as the first president of the union for the security guards.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Cubmaster and Home Teacher. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, horseback riding, gardening, and woodworking. Willard and Norene wintered in Yuma, Arizona and loved spending time during the summer at their cabin in Palisades.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2006, at the Idaho Falls LDS Coltman Ward (12448 North 5th East - Lewisville Highway) with Bishop Larry Clayton officiating. The family will meet with friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon Rd.) and Saturday for one hour prior to services at the church.
Burial will be in the Grant-Central Cemetery where Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team.
