WILDA WAGNER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Wilda Walton Wagner, 81, of Idaho Falls, died March 29, 2007, at Good Samaritan Nursing Center, surrounded by her loving family and friends, from causes incident to age.
She was born January 31, 1926, in Rigby, Idaho, to Marion Arvil Walton and Lily Hinks Walton. She grew up on the Alpine flats and attended schools in Afton, WY and Idaho Falls.
She married Lavell D. Fox and they raised their 3 children on a dairy farm in the Poplar area near Ririe. In their early years, they enjoyed outdoor adventures and spent their honeymoon in a blizzard in the Monida Hotel in Monida, Montana, which was great fun for the newly married couple.
Adventure was her companion in employment as well. As a café owner, she was loved and adored for her listening ear and Dream Pies. She spent many years cooking on ranches and spent glorious summers in the Northwest mountains herding sheep. Wilda loved animals. There was never a stray animal or lost sheep she couldn’t love back to health.
She was a member of The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Family came first. She enjoyed playing games, camping and picnicking with her immediate and extended family and friends.
Survivors include:
Daughter: Diane (Tim) Fowler, Idaho Falls, ID
Son: Dennis (Terri) Fox, Kaysville, UT
7 Grandchildren & 12 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Michael, three sisters, and five brothers.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2007, at Good Samaritan Nursing Center Chapel, 840 East Elva, with Pastor Keith Presley officiating.
