Wilbur Bothof, 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at EIRMC in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Wilbur was born June 18, 1951 in Bennekom, Holland, to Antonie Cornelis Bothof and Alida Gijsberta De Gooijer Bothof.  He attended and graduated from Escondido High School in Escondido, California.  After graduation he moved to Visalia, California.  On December 31, 1994, he married the love of his life, Grace Lynn Reed. Wilbur had an incredible gift for repairing things and became the business owner of W Bothof Construction.

In 2012, Wilbur and Grace moved to Idaho Falls, where he transitioned into a truck driving career. Wilbur loved the outdoors and enjoyed activities such as hunting, hiking and camping.

Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents, Antonie and Alida Bothof; his beloved son, Matthew Bothof; and four brothers, and one sister.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, who treasured time with his family.

Wilbur is survived by his wife, Grace L. Bothof of Idaho Falls; and children,  Mike (Jennifer) Hendrex of Idaho Falls, Sandra (Ryan) Jenson of Rigby, Joe (Christi) Hendrex of Idaho Falls, Aaron (Brandi) Bothof of Visalia, CA, AJ (Angel) Bothof of Las Vegas, NV; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Gerrit Bothof; and two sisters, Betty de Groot and Alice Schuringa.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Watersprings Church, 4250 S. 25th E in Idaho Falls. A viewing will be held from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the services at the church.
