Wesley Reed

Wesley J. Reed, 81, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 8, 2016, at his home.

Wesley was born July 30, 1934, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Albert C. Reed and Annie Melvina Judy Reed. He grew up and attended schools in Ammon and graduated from Bonneville High School. He also attended Ricks College and took his welding training from Eastern Idaho Technical College.

On June 5, 1957, he married Beverly Lippy in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She passed away in 1965.

On November 29, 1968, he married Elizabeth "Betty" Morris in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Wesley worked as a brown sugar boiler for U & I Sugar in Lincoln, Idaho. After the sugar factory closed, he then worked in maintenance for Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership, from which he retired in 1999.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In his youth he served a full- time mission to New York. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Wesley is survived by

son, Jay Reed of West Yellowstone, MT,

daughter, Susan Leah (Hooper) Blair of Madison, OH,

brother, Ellis Lynn (Charlotte) Reed of West Valley, UT,

brother, Lyle Lee (JoAnn) Reed of Idaho Falls, ID,

brother, Francis David (Kaye) Reed of Logan, UT.

5 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and both of his wives, Beverly and Betty.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016, at the Idaho Falls LDS Lincoln 1st Ward, 3700 East Lincoln Road, with Bishop Luke Heiner officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.

11:00 a.m. ,Saturday, July 16, 2016 Idaho Falls LDS Lincoln First Ward 3700 East Lincoln Road Idaho Falls, ID, Bonneville 83401 Notes: The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
