Wes was certainly a good man with a good heart. I recall when I first became a Farmers agent and Wes came around the corner just to say hello and visit a bit. I was shocked that an established agent would take the time to visit with a "new comer" like myself. During a convention in Sun Valley, before meetings I was having breakfast, Wes noticed me sitting alone and asked to join me. He always has a wise crack, a smile and a was a joy to be associated with. I will miss him.
Please accept my best wishes and heartfelt sympathy.
God bless . . .

Although I may have beat him when I won his seat on the City Council, he never demonstrated any type of grudge. Whenever he saw me, he would greet me with a smile, a firm hand shake and many times: a "Wes wise crack." He certainly made an impact on the community of Idaho Falls.

Mrs. Deist, Kelley and Holley: So sorry to hear about Wes' passing. My heart goes out to you for the loss of such an incredible husband and father. I owe a lot to Wes and have thought of him often over the years. He gave me my start and encouraged me at a very young age in athletics, which laid a foundation for any accomplishments I've achieved, not limited to sports, but also education, career and family. For this I will always be grateful to Wes. He will truly be missed.

Hi, Lenna,
I just got word of Wes's death. I applaud his long, successful, and productive life!
Bravo to you, Wes! You have made a lasting mark on Idaho Falls. You will be remembered in its grand history as one of the town's great contributors.
And congratulations to you, Lenna, for that remarkable marriage.
As for myself, I left the U.S. on September 11th of last year. I gave everything away . . . books, art collected over my life, trinkets . . . everything. I donated my car and pickup, distributed things to friends, and the day before I left I heaved my wardrobe on Goodwill. I shall spend the rest of my life traveling, trekking, and, if the mood strikes, doing volunteer work in the 3rd World. Right now I'm in Argentina having just climbed Aconcagua. I'll be here till maybe September then it'll be off to India and the Himalayas.
Love, Mark
