WAYNE PETERSON
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Wayne LeVoy Peterson, 68, of Idaho Falls, died February 5, 2007, at his home.
He was born July 15, 1938, at Idaho Falls, Idaho, to LeVoy Peterson and Eula Afton Svedin Peterson. He attended Rainy Dell Elementary in Swan Valley, later attended schools in Irwin, and graduated from Ririe High School in 1956.
On December 5, 1958, he married Shirley Jean Dunn in Idaho Falls. He worked at IML Freight Line, started and owned W & S Janitorial, worked as a custodian for Bonneville School District and for Idaho National Laboratories (INL), was a paper carrier for the Post Register, and started Peterson Freight in 1997 where he worked until the time of his death.
He coached Little League and American Legion Baseball and bowling. He served as secretary of Idaho Falls Men's Bowling Association and was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame on April 6, 1991. Wayne also enjoyed playing baseball and liked to fish and hunt.

Brother: Bill (Ester) Peterson, Idaho Falls, ID
Brother: Doyle "Sherm" (Rula) Peterson, American Falls, ID
Brother: Bob (Queenie) Peterson, Meridian, ID
Sister: Sheryl Lowe, Idaho Falls, ID
Grandchildren: Brandon Peterson, Jenny (Ben) Barney, Amber (Brandon) Bishop, Matthew Peterson, Zachery Peterson, and Joshua Peterson; and
Great Grandchildren: Mikaela Ramirez, Destiny Ramirez, Trey Alatorre, Bree Barney, Shirley (Tessa) Alatorre, and Jetrin Taylor; Step Grandchildren: Jeff (Ple) Taylor, Katie Taylor, Ryan Taylor, and Kyle Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his father, LeVoy Peterson; and a sister, Gaynol Mechling.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2007, at the Idaho Falls LDS Kearney 2nd Ward, 1860 Kearney, with Bishop Kerry Cooper officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and Saturday from 12 Noon to 12:45 p.m. at the church.
Burial will be in the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.

I am so sorry that Grandpa Peterson passed away! I didn't find out until the 10th at 5pm when I got the mail. Grandma, I love you so much and I am so sorry that I didn't know. Please tell Great Grandma that I am sorry for her loss and that I love her very much. Tell Dad that I am sorry for his loss.
