Wayne was born April 6, 1944, in Preston, Idaho, to Milton Cutler and Nita Checketts Cutler. He graduated from Preston High School where he excelled in football. Wayne served a mission from 1963 until 1965 to Southern Australia for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It had always been a desire of his to go back and visit his mission. He graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business.
On September 6, 1966, he married Dorothy Jean Arthers in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They had three daughters, Traci, Stephanie, and Christie. They later divorced.

Until poor health forced him to retire in July, 2009, he had been working at Eastgate, Westgate, and Walgreens Drug. He loved his job and the people he worked with.
In his younger days, he loved to ski. He also loved to golf, especially with his good friends, Kent Archibald and Sylvan and Margaret Greenhalgh. Wayne also liked to putter in the garden and yard. My heart is filled with loving and tender thoughts, yet I am saddened at the loss we're all experiencing. Mostly, I want to let Marie, Angie, Todd & Katie know how much we appreciate the loving care you've given Bud through the years. Also, for Traci, Stephanie, and Christie, I know how much your Dad loved and admired each of you and your families. You have always been very dear to him. I hope your tender memories will help you with this loss.
It's a blessing for him to be free of pain and in a better place. My love to all of you. See you soon.

Growing up with the Cutler's, Brenchley's, Eberhart's and others was a privilege and a joy. Bud was two years younger than me and I always considered him a great friend. When the obituary said he excelled at FB, that was certainly true. I was asked to broadcast a game of Bud's his senior year on KPST, because D.A. Nash couldn't be there. I remember he had two TD runs of over 50 yards that were called back due to penalty in the game. I think he may have scored one or two others in that game as well. We had an alumni scrimage against Bud when he was a senior. I was running the ball as an alumnus and Bud was right in front of me. I thought, I'll just lower my shoulder and bull my little neighbor friend right over, since I was much larger than he was. Bud got the best of me in that collision. So much so that it broke my right collar bone in three separate pieces. I had to have surgery to repair it.
I love Bud and other Cutlers as well!

Patty told us of Wayne's passing. We are so sorry and want you to know we are thinking about you. Once in the Gospel Doctrine class he shared his scriptures with me. I had such a spiritual feeling from his sharing then. I've remembered that feeling when I have thought of him. We miss you. We love you.
