FARRIS COOPER
SALT LAKE CITY, UT -- Wayne Farris Cooper, 65, formerly of Idaho Falls, passed away June 1, 2007, at Care Source in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a five year struggle with multiple myeloma cancer.
He was born February 28, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Wayne Carl Cooper and Arlene Burtenshaw Cooper. He attended local schools and graduated from Madison High School. He attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho, and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Brigham Young University, Utah. He attended Vogue Beauty College in Idaho Falls.
He married Janet Bodily in 1968 in Idaho Falls. They were later divorced. He owned and operated House of Cooper that was located on the corner of the Yellowstone Highway and Iona Road and later on the corner of 17th Street and St. Clair Road. In 1984 he relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah. In his lifetime he worked as a radio station announcer, cosmetologist, FEMA Representative, and mortgage loan officer.
He was a founding member of the Salt Lake Men’s Choir. He enjoyed performing in musicals, computer technology, and watching movies. Farris will be remembered for his honesty, integrity, loyalty, intelligence, and dry humor.

9 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at the Iona Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
