WAYNE D. CONRAD IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Wayne Dayton Conrad, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 2, 2005, at Lincoln Court Retirement Community in Idaho Falls. He was born December 17, 1914, in Iona, Idaho, to Jasper Crosgrove Conrad and Nellie Mirah Dayton Conrad. He attended schools in Idaho Falls. On May 31, 1932, he married Josephine Allen in Dillon, Montana. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Three daughters were born to them. Wayne owned and operated Conrad & Bischoff, a Phillips 66 oil and gas distributorship, with his partner, Rex Bischoff, for over 30 years until his retirement in 1979. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served as a teacher, elders quorum president, bishop's counselor, bishop of the Idaho Falls 3rd Ward, and high councilman. He was active in Rotary Club and Toastmasters International. He enjoyed golf, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. Many family outings were spent at their cabin in Mack's Inn and they enjoyed wintering in their condo at St. George. Utah. Surviving are: Wife: Josephine Allen Conrad, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Ann (Montie) Keller, Layton, UT Daughter: Marjorie (Tal) Neill, Pocatello, ID Sister: Lucille (Ezra) Ward, Spokane, WA Son-In-Law: Kent Gardner, Lacey, WA 11 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Gardner, his parents, a brother, J. C. Conrad, and a sister, Naomi Waddell. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2005, at the Idaho Falls LDS Home Ranch Ward, 3195 South Holmes Avenue, Idaho Falls, with Bishop James Burgoyne officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and Thursday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
