Warren Lewis Stuart, 78, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 28, 2014, at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living. He was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice and his loving family.
Stu was born November 7, 1935, in Denver, Colorado. He grew up and attended schools in Colorado and graduated from Greeley High School. Stu worked as a delivery driver in Wyoming prior to being married.
On October 6, 1956, he married Verda Shirley Woolstenhulme in Victor, Idaho. Stu and Verda made their home in Idaho Falls and Coltman, Idaho. Stu worked at Montgomery Ward, OK Tire Factory, and Idaho Falls Tire & Battery, as a mechanic. He spent many years at B&F Distributing as a salesman, winning many awards. After doing sales he was a warehouse foreman and also repaired signs. He later worked for Golden Eagle as a warehouse foreman and tap cleaner, where he retired in 2009.
He was a member of the Methodist Church. Warren enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, farming and was a 'Jack of all trades.'
Stu is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Verda Stuart,
daughter, Georgia RaNae Jenkins of Idaho Falls, ID,
son, Earl (Mindy) Stuart of Tremonton, UT,
daughter, LeAnn (Dave) Brower of Idaho Falls, ID,
sister, Bonnie Reed Fox of Sante Fe Springs, CA,
10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Earl Stuart, mother, Bernice Evelyn Stuart, sons, Lewis LaMont Stuart and Warren Val Stuart (stillborn), son-in-law, Leonard Hall, and a great granddaughter.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00-9:45 a.m., both at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. at the Victor Cemetery.
