WARREN CHAPMAN BOISE, ID -- Warren Porter Chapman, 70, of Twin Falls, died May 30, 2007, at St. Luke's Hospital in Boise. He was born July 15, 1936, at Sandpoint, Idaho, to Sherman Daniel Chapman and Gladys Jane McClain Chapman. He grew up and attended schools in the area. On November 23, 1956, he married Elaine Farnsworth in Ucon. He worked as an electrician. He worked for Electric Motor Service, Mel Brown, Electric Equipment, and Irrigation Service. He was a member of the Electrical Union #449 in Idaho Falls. In 1964, he moved to Nampa, Idaho, where he owned Watco Electric and then Cook Electric Inc. in partnership with his brother, Darrel. In 1974, he moved to Twin Falls and continued to operate Cook Electric. In the 1980's, he built hydro sites with his son, Randy. At the time of his death, he was involved with his latest venture, working with windpower. He was a member of the Elks Club in Nampa and Twin Falls. Warren enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling with his wife, Elaine, and his family. He also loved talking to people and had a passion for wind farms. He was called “Grandpa Honey” by his Katie and great grandkids. Survivors include: Wife: Elaine Chapman, Twin Falls, ID Son: Randy (Paula) Chapman, Twin Falls, ID Daughter: Pam (Russ) Bradley, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Gina (Rick) Bush, Boise, ID Brother: Daniel Chapman Brother: Darrel Chapman Brother: Roy Chapman Sister: Jane Bright Grandchildren: Nicole (Brian) Hackman, Jaclyn (Sonny) Dutton, Allen Chapman, Nick Chapman, Shanna (Shane) Spencer, Katie Bush, and 5 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Virginia Welton and a brother, Vere Chapman. Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2007, at the Ucon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
