Wanda Brown Woodhouse, 89, of Ammon, passed away on August 30, 2011, at The Gables in Ammon.
She was born April 21, 1922, in Ammon to Farimorze Young Brown and Katie Owen Brown. She grew up in the area and attended schools in Iona. She and her sister, Gwen, were both moved up a grade and both graduated early.
On November 20, 1939, she married Wendell Woodhouse in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. They lived in Rexburg, Idaho Falls, and Fairbanks, Alaska. Wanda was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was active in missionary work throughout her life. She served in many callings including Sunday School Teacher, Primary Teacher, Nursery Leader, and Librarian.
Wanda enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, and especially loved being a mother and grandmother.

Daughter: Corrina Ann (Pat) Ely, Flagstaff, AZ
Brother: Albert E. (Marie) Brown, Rexburg, ID
38 Grandchildren, 96 Great Grandchildren and 13 Great Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, 1 son-in-law, and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2011, at the Ammon LDS 21st Ward, 4030 John Adams Pkwy., with Bishop Jeffrey Jones officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.
