WANDA JENSEN IDAHO FALLS, ID - Wanda Jensen, 87, of Idaho Falls, died January 22, 2004, at the Nampa Hospital in Nampa, Idaho. She was born December 24, 1916, at Moore, Idaho, to William Edward Hammond and Merle Harriet Green Hammond. She spent her early years in the Arco area, then moved to Pocatello with her family when she was 12 years old, where she attended schools. She married Kenneth James Jensen July 10, 1941, at Livingston, Montana. She worked as a waitress at Fred & Kelly's in Pocatello, Roger's Hotel, Ponderosa, Topper Club, and Tom's Landing in Idaho Falls. She was a member of the Uptowners Band and played in Idaho Falls during the 1940s. She was a piano player, banjo player and singer. Kenneth passed away October 26, 1982. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved music and baseball and never missed an Idaho Falls team game from 1948 to 2001. She was a loving mother with a fantastic sense of humor and was loved by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; until the time of her death, she was under the excellent care of her granddaughter, Lori; grandson, Don; and daughter, Merle. Surviving are: Daughter: Merle Marie [Bob] Smith, Riggins, ID Son: Jack Jensen, Idaho Falls, ID 4 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, and several Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson, and two brothers Graveside Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2004, at the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery. Burial will be in Annis-Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
