WALTER L. STORER IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Walter Lee Storer, 88, of Idaho Falls, died January 6, 2005, at his home. He was born September 27, 1916, in Milo, Idaho, to Fredrick John Storer and Sarah Jane Cleverly Storer. He grew up in the area and graduated from Ucon High School. He served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. On September 16, 1936, he married Ruby Priest in the Logan LDS Temple. She died August 27, 1979. On April 3, 1981, he married Enid Walker Palmer in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He was a professional painter and a handyman. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in various callings, including Elders Quorum President, Ward Clerk for 13 years, High Priest Secretary, Assistant to the High Priest Group Leader, and as a temple officiator for 18 years. He enjoyed woodworking and built his own home. Surviving are: Wife: Enid Storer, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Arland (Linda) Storer, Kearns, UT Son: Lowel (Gerlinda) Storer, Tucson, AZ Daughter: Melva (Leland) Liberatore, Vancouver, WA Daughter: Marilyn (Michael) Cunningham, Gresham, OR Daughter: Shirley (Gordon) Burt, Woodville, ID Son: Ferrell Storer, Idaho Falls, ID Stepson: Clair (Ilene) Palmer, American Fork, UT Stepdaughter: Marilyn (Todd) Richardson, Vancouver, WA Stepson: Garen (Susan) Palmer, Centerville, UT 25 Grandchildren, and 37 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby, three sisters, five brothers, and three grandchildren. Funeral Services will be at 12 Noon, Monday, January 10, 2005, at the Idaho Falls South Stake Center, 2051 S. Emerson, with Bishop Brad Doman of the Idaho Falls LDS 8th Ward officiating. The family will meet with friends on Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and Monday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
