Walter Dean Parker

Walter  Parker, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 12, 2021, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Walter was born December 23, 1941, in Portland, Oregon, and adopted by James Lindley Crane and Katherine Kelly Crane. He grew up in Portland, later lived in San Diego and Salmon, and finally settled in Idaho Falls. Walter was married twice, and his first wife passed early on in their marriage. He was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 2011 and enjoyed completing work in the temple.

Walter knew everything trucks–he drove them, and he worked on them as an experienced diesel mechanic. He loved listening to Elvis Presley and going four-wheeling, once traveling to the Grand Canyon to do so. He had many friends through his profession and will be sincerely missed by them all.

Walter is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2021, at Fielding Memorial Park, 4602 South Yellowstone Highway. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team.
