Walter Byron Lee, 57, of Iona, passed away November 13, 2009 at his home.
He was born June 16, 1952, in Oakland, California to Walter Lee and Marjorie Lee-Weldon. He graduated from Pleasant Hill High School, then continued his education at an automotive trade school. He worked as a mechanic and specialized in Fords.
Byron served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam.
On July 7, 1985, he married Cheryl D. Lee in Zepher Cove, Nevada.
Byron was a strong man, a beautiful husband and father, and took care of his family no matter what. He helped people and friends throughout his life. He enjoyed woodworking, water sports, four-wheeling, fishing, boating, ranching, gardening, working and playing outdoors, listening to Bob Dylan, barbequing, and especially spending time with his family

Daughter: Justine Lee, Iona, ID
Son: Nigel Lee, Iona, ID
Mother: Marjorie Lee, Pleasant Hill, CA
Brother: Rodney Lee, Laramie, WY
He was preceded in death by his father.
Byron’s family invites friends to attend a memorial service in his honor to be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 16, 2009 at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 South Ammon Road). The Bonneville County Memorial Veteran’s Team and Idaho Honor Guard will perform military rites, followed by the service, both at Wood East Side Chapel.
