IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Virginia Minnie Stoddard, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 27, 2008, at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living Center of natural causes. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice. She was born July 10, 1917, in Goshen, Idaho, to Printice S. Sessions and Minnie A. Hess Sessions. She grew up in Goshen and Firth and graduated from Firth High School. She married Grant L. Stoddard September 16, 1937, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and their marriage was solemnized May 16, 1947, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived in Taylor for three years, Garfield for two years, and moved to Idaho Falls 65 years ago. She was a homemaker and mother and also worked as a chiropractic assistant for 13 years. Grant passed away September 27, 2006. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary, Young Women, Sunday School, and Relief Society. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, target shooting, sewing, gardening, and reading. Survivors include: Son: Dale L. (Judy) Stoddard, Scottsdale, AZ Son: Larry G. (Annette) Stoddard, Pocatello, ID Daughter: Sandra M. (Dennis) McCafferty, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Jerry Sessions, Carson City, NV 7 Grandchildren & 15 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Grant, two sisters, Geneva Park and Marjorie Dees, and two brothers, Myron Sessions and Darwin Sessions. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Idaho Falls LDS 26th Ward, 2025 Jennie Lee Drive, with Bishop James Hunter officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. ------------------------------------ Condolences sent online: Susan Woodland Andelin, Ann Woodland Reed, Mark Lee Woodland We want to express our sympathy to your family.
