Virginia C. Snarr - 11/12/2001 Virginia C. Snarr - 11/12/2001 VIRGINIA C. SNARR OSGOOD, ID -- Virginia Kathryn Coughlin Croft Snarr, 84, of Osgood, died November 11, 2001, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes. She was born August 8, 1917, at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She spent her early years in Oklahoma and Colorado and attended St. Joseph’s Academy and Cheyenne Mountain School before coming to Idaho Falls, where she attended Idaho Falls High School. She married Abner Wylie Snarr on March 5, 1935 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They made their home in Osgood, where she has been a homemaker, mother, and farm wife. Wylie passed away June 3, 2001. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Primary Presidency and as a teacher, as Relief Society President, Sunday School Coordinator and teacher, ward librarian, and visiting teacher. She enjoyed reading, travel (especially to the Middle East, Alaska, Hawaii, and Europe), and cooking. After her marriage she took classes when she would travel with her husband. Snarr, a brother, David H. Croft, and two grandsons. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2001, at the Idaho Falls LDS Osgood Ward, 7940 North 35th West, with Bishop William H. Taylor officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
