VIRGINIA MIX
Virginia Emmons Mix, 85, of Idaho Falls, died April 25, 2005,
at Idaho Falls Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born August 27, 1919, in Steamboat Springs, Colorado,
to George Benton Emmons and Mary Emma Howerton Emmons. She grew up in Fruitvale
and attended Fruitvale Elementary and High Schools and attended Mesa College.
She also lived in Clifton, Colorado for 79 years; Hollister, California; and
the past year in Idaho Falls.
She married Ralph John Mix November 9, 1937, in Grand Junction,
Colorado. He preceded her in death October 12, 1995. She was a homemaker and
mother and also worked for the Mesa County Public Library and for Mesa Manor
Health Care.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, she served as Relief Society President, Stake Missionary and was a
temple worker in the Vernal, Utah Temple. She enjoyed family history work
and quilting and served in Girls Scouts.

Daughter: Linda Kay (Vaughn) Griggs, Nibley, UT
Daughter: Janet Gail (Blair) Sargent, Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Carol Jean (Michael) Detton, Council Bluffs, IA
Daughter: Nancy Dianne (Ronnie) Bair, West Jordan, UT
29 Grandchildren, 56 Great Grandchildren, 6 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Barbara Lynn.
Funeral Services will be held in the Grand Junction LDS
9th Ward with burial in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Grand Junction, Colorado.
