Virginia Downs

Virginia Louise Vetter Downs, 85, of Idaho Falls, passed away on May 15, 2013, at her home. She was under the care of Access Hospice. She was born February 3, 1928, in Leavenworth, Kansas to Walter and Ethel Carlson Vetter. In 1944, she married Calvin Lee Downs who preceded her in death in 1967. She was mother and homemaker and a member of the Eagles Lodge. Virginia enjoyed doing crafts, puzzles, word puzzles, and gardening. She especially loved her family and spending time with them. Survivors are: Daughter: Sandra L. (James) Seaman, Elma, WA Daughter: Deborah L. (James) Hipps, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Janet Masson, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Leslie (Tim) Vessey, Aberdeen, WA Twin sister: Shirley A. Brenneman, Idaho Falls, ID 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 3 brothers, Bill, Harold, and Virgil. The family would like to express their thanks to Access Hospice for their care of Mom. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) in Idaho Falls.
