Virginia Devries

VIRGINIA DEVRIES IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Virginia Grace Harvin Devries, 84, of Idaho Falls, died June 17, 2008, at the Idaho Falls Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. She was born May 23, 1924, in Thomasville, Georgia, to Walter Evans Harvin, Sr. and Nelly Marie Gainey Harvin. She grew up and attended schools in the area. In 1944, she married Donald Devries in Thomasville, Georgia. They moved to Caldwell, Idaho, and then to Idaho Falls. He preceded her in death in 1970. She was a mother and homemaker. She enjoyed dancing, singing, and animals. Virginia also enjoyed being with Dale and Vikki Adolph; their son, Steve; her cat, Blackee; and little dog, Tiny, who were like family to her. She was preceded is death by her husband; a daughter, Judy Devries Brown; a son, Robert Devries; and two brothers, Walter Junior Harvin and Joel Thomas Harvin. Burial will be in Caldwell, Idaho, alongside her husband, Donald. Local arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N.
