Virginia Day - 01/03/2002 Virginia Day - 01/03/2002 VIRGINIA DAY IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Virginia Fowles Day, 88, of Idaho Falls, died January 3, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center following a stroke. She was born April 17, 1913, at Ogden, Utah, to Eli James Fowles and Julia Heiner Fowles. She spent her early years in Ogden, then grew up and attended schools in Burley. She also lived in Rupert, St. George, Utah, Ucon, Rexburg, and Idaho Falls. She married Franklin Carl Day July 22, 1933, at Burley. Their marriage was solemnized February 9, 1934, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She was a homemaker, mother, and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Relief Society Presidency, Primary Presidency, and as Stake Primary President. She was a temple worker in the St. George and Idaho Falls LDS Temples. She and Carl served a full-time mission to Calgary, Alberta, Canada from 1979 to 1981. She enjoyed reading and family history work. Surviving are:Husband: F. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2002, at the Idaho Falls LDS Willow Creek Ward, 6925 North 15 East (on St. Leon Road north of Highway 20) with Bishop Morris Benson officiating. The family will visit with friends on Monday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Ucon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
