VIRGIE ROCKWOOD IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Virgie Joyce Whitehead Rockwood, 80, of Idaho Falls, died January 4, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born January 19, 1926, in Idaho Falls, to Glen Whitehead and Ruth Henricksen Whitehead. She graduated from Iona High School and also attended Glenn E. Clark Business College. She married Eldon J. Rockwood, April 12, 1946, in Ririe, Idaho. In addition to raising their family, she worked as Administrative Assistant for 28 years for the City of Idaho Falls. She enjoyed dancing, camping, fishing, sewing, cross country skiing, spending time at the family ranch in Bone, and especially loved caring for her family. She is survived by: Husband: Eldon Rockwood, Idaho Falls Son: Scott (Tressa) Rockwood, Pocatello, ID Daughter: Robbyn Lesperance (Wayne) Harper, St. George, UT Daughter: Holly (Rick) Murray, Spokane, WA 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren Sister: Patia W. (LaMar) Hansen, Sweet Home, OR Sister: Barbara W. (Jerald) Hammer, Idaho Falls, ID She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2007, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and for one hour before services Tuesday, both at Wood Funeral Home.
