Virgilia Claire (Virgie) Miller, 83, of Idaho Falls, took flight to the light September 29, 2013, of complications from a stroke. She began her newest journey with her family surrounding her with the love she freely gave.
Her adventure began January 20, 1930 when Emil Lew Miller and Lena Matilda Moser Miller started their family in Home City, Kansas. She studied, grew past primary schools and graduated high school from nearby Marysville, all while helping on the farm and assisting Lena with her beloved younger brothers and sister. Her happy childhood evolved into an exciting young adulthood and successful working life as a controller, housekeeper, CNA, room mother and sales associate. While attending Business College in Topeka she joined the loving sisters of Beta Sigma Phi where their community work inspired and helped many for years. Raised as an evangelical her faith waivered not and her inherent abilities blossomed as a wonderful piano player and fabulous seamstress (her ability to perfect was apparently beautiful.).
A consistent bowler and avid roller skater, it was very clear that she was simply up to any challenge to stay sharp. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, was quick as a fox, well read on all things and especially loved keeping up with all the drama on “As The World Turns” and the “Young and the Rest of Us” as quoted by her granddaughter.
In 1954, a close friend encouraged Virgie to accompany her to see her husband recuperating at a naval hospital in Bremerton, Washington. While there Virgie met a fabulous match, Lloyd Joseph Gould, of Newdale, Idaho which started her truest reason for being - their sweet diverse family that would dominated and exuberate her existence forever.
Her weight exploded while pregnant with Mara Lea, Lord help us, to 105 lbs., as large as she ever got. And the blessings continued with Dallas, Vala Rae and divine light, Lisa Jo.
Virgie is survived by
Daughter, Mara Lea (John) Stephenson of Idaho Falls, ID,
Son, Dallas (Ava) Gould of Idaho Falls, ID,
Daughter, Vala Rae (Dave) Robertson of Idaho Falls, ID,
Brother, Gary Miller of Memphis, TN,

8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Lisa Jo Gould, a brother, Fred Miller, and a great grandson, Kaiden.
“She destroyed the ignorance born of darkness by the shining light of her wisdom”.
