VIOLET C. SWENSON
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Violet C. Swenson, 90, former Firth resident, died May 23, 2006, at Mallory House in Idaho Falls.
She was born March 1, 1916, in Duluth, Minnesota to Alfred Carlson and Hulda Amanda Steele Carlson. She grew up and attended schools in Duluth and Superior Wisconsin.
She married Joseph D. Swenson December 29, 1932, in St. Anthony, Idaho. They raised their family in Shelley, and lived there all their married life. Her husband passed away March 11, 1989, and she later moved to Firth. In addition to raising her family, she worked in the potato processing industry from which she retired.
She was raised a Baptist. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, cooking and doing needlework.

23 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Jeanette Matney, a son, Erick D. Swenson, and all of her brothers and sisters.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2006, at the Firth-Riverview Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls before proceeding to the cemetery.
