Violet Ellis

VIOLET L. ELLIS IDAHO FALLS, ID - Violet Lucille Merrill Ellis, 80, of Idaho Falls, died February 22, 2004, at her home. She was born April 19, 1923, at Rushville, Nebraska to Harry Otto Merrill and Ethel Lucille Thompson Merrill. She lived in Nebraska and Colorado as a child and later came to Idaho. She has since been a resident of Idaho. She married James Hoadley in 1940, and they were later divorced. She married Emmett Ellis in 1946. Emmett passed away in 1992. She was a member of Living Faith Christian Center. She loved being around her family and enjoyed living at Lincoln Court, where she loved doing crafts and participating in the activities there. Surviving are: Son: Ernest (Carol) Hoadley, Powell, WY Son: Norman (Celia) Hoadley, Las Vegas, NV Daughter: Ruby (Richard) Walters, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Ronald Ellis, Firth, ID Brother: Stanley Merrill, California 12 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, a son, and two grandsons. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2004, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge), with Pastor David Grasso of the Living Faith Christian Center officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
