Mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Violet I. Csorsz, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2023. She is survived by her daughters, Kate Brogdon of Virginia and Susie Brown of Sri Lanka.
Violet was born in Topony, Hungary, in 1942, and immigrated to the United States in 1972, moving with her family across the country to several locations. She settled in Idaho Falls in 1977.
Violet worked at the Post Register in the Circulation Department where she assisted countless young carriers in learning the valuable skills of hard work and responsibility. After her retirement in 2011, Violet served as an avid volunteer in many capacities, most notably at the Community Food Bank, Soup Kitchen and other organizations, selflessly and joyously supporting the most at-need members of the Idaho Falls community.
Among Violet’s favorite things were tending her garden, cooking and baking (especially bread!), crocheting, and hummingbirds. Perhaps her greatest pleasure was in her daughters and her grandchildren, with whom she enjoyed traveling the world to see, spending time with, and sharing in both their adventures and quiet times. It is upon her beloved family and friends that she smiles down.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” - Matthew 5:4
