Viola Denning

Viola May Wadsworth Denning, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 21, 2018, in Idaho Falls. Viola was born May 6, 1933, in Taylorville, Idaho, to Joseph McCloy Wadsworth and Edna Lucinda Stoddard Wadsworth. She grew up and attended schools in Iona and attended Iona High School. On June 23, 1950, she married Duane Nielsen Denning in Lincoln, Idaho. To this union were born four children, Michael, Jody, Daniel and Brook. Viola and Duane made their home in Iona and Ucon, Idaho, where Viola was a loving and wonderful wife, mother and homemaker. She worked as secretary for their family well drilling business. Viola was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She received much joy from her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, traveling, fishing and golfing. Viola is survived by her son, Michael Roy (Lisa) Denning of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Jody Duane (Donna) Denning of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Daniel Coey (Lisa) Denning of Rigby, ID; daughter, Brook Ann (Rex) Simons of Pocatello, ID; sister, Helen (James) Guercio of Winnemucca, NV; 18 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane Nielsen Denning; grandson, Kameron Denning; great grandson, Madden Farmer; great granddaughter, Ellie Denning; brother, Willard Wadsworth; sister, Jean Kasch; brother, Durrant Wadsworth; brother, Ervan Wadsworth; sister, Marion Longhurst; and brother, Lyle Wadsworth. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the Ucon LDS Monument Ward, 10854 North 41 East, with Bishop Justin Pugmire officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
