Vincent Dale Tappe, 80, of Rigby, passed away July 23, 2014, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes.
Vincent was born March 28, 1934, in Creighton, Nebraska, to Edward Tappe and Agnes Hoffman Tappe. He grew up and attended schools in Creighton. When he was 14 years old he moved to Emmett, Idaho, until 1954, when he moved to McCall, Idaho.
On July 5, 1954, he married Minnie Louise Spear at Sacred Heart Church in Emmett, Idaho. To this union were born three children, Kristeen, Cindy, and Vincent. They made their home in McCall, Idaho, where Vincent was a logger and faller in the timber industry – and he was very good at it. Minnie passed away January 30, 2005.
He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, gun collecting, and shooting. He loved cars and NASCAR races.

sisters, Dolores Griffiths, Marcelene Rambo, Norma Arispie, and Darlene Sosa.
9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Minnie, a daughter, Darlene Tappe, a brother, Willy Tappe, and a grandson, Joshua Tappe.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Finn Church Cemetery, 146-160 Finn Church Lane, McCall, Idaho.
