VICTOR L. ELDER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Victor LeRoy Elder, 75, of Idaho Falls, died August 1, 2005 at his home. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
He was born January 18, 1930, in Laramie, Nebraska, to Leroy Eugene Elder and Robbie Mae Elder. He grew up and attended school in Springfield, Missouri, and has lived in Idaho Falls for 51 years. He served in the United States Army as a Private First Class.
He married Wynona Katherine Simpson November 25, 1954, in Shelley, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple May 23, 1964. They are the parents of eight children. He worked as a mechanic for Smith Chevrolet in Idaho Falls.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed camping with his children and grandchildren, hunting, fishing, gardening and rebuilding cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Tommy Lambert, and a sister, Patsy Brown.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2005, at the Idaho Falls LDS Osgood Ward, 7940 North 35th West, with Bishop Wayne Jensen of the Idaho Falls LDS Old Butte Ward officiating.
The family will visit with friends Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, and Friday for one hour prior to the services at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the Victor Elder Funeral Services Fund.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park, where Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team.
