Vicky Garcia

Victoria Ann Garcia, 63, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully after she spent quality time with her children on July 24th, in Nogales, Arizona. Vicky as we all knew her, was born in Helena, Montana, on December 9, 1953, to Guadalupe Maciel Garcia and Santiago Garcia. She lived and worked in Idaho Falls. Her work with the Idaho Migrant Council, El Castillito, as a Social Services Coordinator was very important to her. Vicky enjoyed working with the community, she was loved by the families and children she worked with. Vicky had 5 children who loved her deeply. She enjoyed spending time with her family. For those who were fortunate to meet her, know she was the life of any party and lived life to the fullest. Vicky was always cracking jokes and was ALWAYS smiling. Vicky loved to cook, listening to music, watching the sci-fi channel and scary movies, crocheting and reading romance novels.

Vicky later left Idaho for Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, where she lived with her husband, the love of her life, Luis "Champ" Perez Balbuena. The distance did not stop her from seeing her family as she traveled back and forth to spend time with her children and many grandchildren.

Vicky was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters, Mileen J. Duran and Angelita Garcia Ruiz; three sons, Antonio Garcia Jr., Cesar Garcia, Abel Garcia; their spouses, 23 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and her siblings. Vicky preceded in death by her mother and father.

Victoria will forever be remembered for her contagious spirit, beautiful smile, huge heart and unbelievable generosity.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m , September 8, 2017, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior at the funeral home. Vicky will then be laid to rest with her mother and father at Fielding Memorial Cemetery.
