Vick F. Ganieany - 08/28/2001 Vick F. Ganieany - 08/28/2001 VICK F. GANIEANY IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Vick Fred Ganieany, 74, of Idaho Falls, ID, died August 27, 2001, at his home of natural causes. He was born May 26, 1927, at Harlowton, Montana, to Lawrence and Leonna Kriedaman Ganieany. He grew up and attended schools in Ronan, Montana. He served in the U. S. Army Air Force during World War II. He lived in various places, including Europe, during his military service, then moved to Ronan, Montana for 25 years. He came to Idaho Falls 35 years ago. He married Marlene Alice McConnell June 20, 1962, at Poulson, Montana. He worked at the U & I Sugar Factory in Lincoln until it closed, then in potato processing until his retirement. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed working in and around his home. The many who felt like his children are too numerous to count; he was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all. Surviving are:Wife: Marlene Ganieany, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Barbara [Rick] Chase, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Joanne [Jim] Tallent, Magna, UTDaughter: Mary [John Gatens] Ganieany, Idaho FallsDaughter: Patty Ganieany, Idaho FallsSon: Charles [Barbara] Ganieany, Idaho FallsSon: Jonathan [Michelle] Ganieany, Idaho FallsSon: Jerry Ganieany, Idaho FallsSon: Lawrence Ganieany, FLSon: Victor Ganieany, MASon: Paul Ganieany, MASon: Harold Ganieany, MABrother: Clarence Ganieany, Eugene, OR 30 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great Great Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, four children, a brother, a sister, and one grandchild. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2001, at the Idaho Falls LDS 13th Ward, 955 Memorial Drive, with Bishop Michael Smith officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
