Vernon Watson

Vernon William Watson, 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 4, 2011 at Idaho Falls Care and Rehabilitation Center. Vernon was born May 30, 1935 in Phoenix, Arizona to Reuben Carl Watson and Beulah Ritter Watson. He grew up in Phoenix and graduated from Phoenix Union High School. He continued his education at the University of Idaho and earned a Bachelor’s Degree. On August 12, 1956, he married Rosalie Janet Vicari in Sacramento, California. Together they raised two children. Vernon served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Korean War era and was stationed at various air bases around the country. He and Rosalie have made Idaho Falls their home for the past 42 years. Vernon worked for various contractors as an industrial engineer for the INL. He retired from Lockheed in 1995. He loved to golf. Survivors include his wife, Rosalie of Idaho Falls; daughter, Kathy Kosman of Idaho Falls; grandson Michael (Michelle) Kosman of Idaho Falls; granddaughter Sarah (Mark) Irwin of Lewiston, ID; two great-grandchildren; and his brother Glenn (Mary) Watson of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Mark Watson, who passed away in 1970. Graveside services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Rose Hill Cemetery (2355 Rollandet Street) with Wood Funeral Home officiating.
