VERNICE BALER
IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO -- Vernice Grace Cox Baler, 80, of Idaho Falls, died December 15, 2008, at Idaho Falls Health & Rehabilitation Center from complications due to cancer. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
She was born July 21, 1928 in Shelley, Idaho to Walter James Cox and Grace Viona Erickson Cox. She grew up and attended schools in Shelley; she graduated from Shelley High School.
On December 17, 1964, she married Floyd W. Baler.
She lived in California, St, Anthony, Tetonia, and Idaho Falls.
She was a mother and a homemaker. She worked as a secretary for the LDS Church and also at Deseret Industries for a short time.
Vernice was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a primary teacher. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, and spending time with her family and friends.

Daughter: Cindy Viona Cox, Idaho Falls
Daughter: Lisa Grace (Danny K.) Lobato, Idaho Falls
Daughter: Rose Mary Baler, Idaho Falls
Sister: Marie Rawson, St. Anthony
9 Grandchildren & 6 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, and Husband Floyd.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Wood Funeral Home (273 North Ridge Ave.). The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
