VERNA M. BYRAM
REXBURG, ID -- Verna Ellen McDaniel Byram, 90, of Rexburg, died October 2, 2001, at her home of natural causes.
She was born February 25, 1911, at Alpine, Utah, to Jesse Sylvester McDaniel and Annie Myrtle Dunsdon McDaniel. The family moved to the Teton Valley when she was small and she grew up there and attended school in Driggs. After high school she attended beauty college in Salt Lake City.
She married George Byram December 16, 1937, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She was a homemaker and mother. She also worked as a beautician in the Rio Barbershop and in beauty shops, and worked briefly in the Cafeteria at Bonneville High School and at Fresh Pak.
A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served as a Visiting Teacher and as Relief Society Secretary. She enjoyed crocheting and handwork, gardening, yard work, and reading.
Surviving are:Daughter: Anne [Clair] Thueson, Rexburg, IDSon: George William [Jane] Byram, Rigby, IDSon: Jesse Lee [Debbie] Byram, Rigby, IDBrother: Karl [Bonnie] McDaniel, Rigby, IDSister: Reba [Homer] Robertson, Pocatello, ID 18 Grandchildren, 33 Great GrandchildrenShe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, William, Alton, & Jay O., two sisters, Irene Wren and Marie Olive, a grandson, Robert Thueson, and two great grandchildren, Jessica Thueson and Hayden Rammell.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2001, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, with her son, Jesse Byram, officiating. The family will visit with friends on Saturday for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
