Verlyn Kenneth Healy, 92, of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed away May 1, 2012 at his home in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
He was born February 3, 1920 to Leonard Carson Healy and Margaretta Elizabeth Rawlings Healy in Magna, Utah.
He attended Cypress High School, the University of Utah, LDS business College and Las Positas Community College in Livermore California.
Verlyn worked as a scientific glass blower at Lawrence Livermore National Lab and taught glass blowing at San Jose State University.
He served as a Staff Sergeant during World War II in the 145th Field Artillery Band.
Shortly after his military service, he married Marian Ruth Buma Healy. She passed away June 9, 1987.
He married Anita Rose on June 25, 1988 in Alameda, California. They moved to Idaho Falls in 2006.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Verlyn was a musician with the church symphony while in the San Francisco Bay area. He enjoyed operating Ham Radio K6UGX and was a member of the Sea Scouts of America which is part of the Boy Scouts of America.

Stepdaughter, Gabrielle Bowman of Idaho Falls, ID
Sister, Claire Richmond of Newhall, CA;
Grandson, Tobias Clark of Livermore, CA;
9 Step-grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Templeview LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Paul C. Chambers officiating. The family will visit with friends from 12 noon to 12:45 prior to the services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
